SMS is back!
A millennium gift from ETC? Last night on my drive home my phone did the SMS chirp. Huh? I grabbed it and saw the following message:
Wish you happy Ethiopian Millennium!!! On the occasion of the Ethiopian Millennium SMS service will be launched shortly. Amare Amsalu, CEO, ETC.Then this morning I got the following text:
Wish you happy Ethiopian Millennium!!! And now the SMS service is launched. Please set the SMS Service Center number to +251911299808. Enjoy SMS!I tried it. It works.

Amare Amsalu, another typecast ETC executive gofer, surely is proud for reinstating the SMS. Soon, he will be used and doffed unceremoniously with corruption epitaph.
Should have taken a lesson from the former ETC errand boy, Tesfaye Birru(who was made to kill SMS). A brilliant mathematician(potentially), who once lectured the worng subject at AAU(Addis Ababa University).
Sorry about that 3w (third world)thing.
